The Last Mile (14 days)

In 2010 as the elections approached, the media was confident that the Obama administration would retain control of the House and Senate and that he would have a mandate to govern delivered to him by the people. As the elections began the left saw victory within their grasp and they became ebullient, only to see that victory fade as the republicans made historic gains taking over the House and position themselves closer to a majority in the Senate. By the time it was over the liberal media was shocked to find that their polling and political models were out of touch with the results, but learned absolutely nothing from the experience.
